The importance of good food

In my family,  food is the center every holiday, birthday, and special occasion. We make more food than we have people coming, which means lots of delicious leftovers. Some of my favorite times with my mom have been in the kitchen where we are chopping, peeling, sautéing, baking and simmering all at the same time.

The smells of us cooking always rush back to me no matter where I am. I swear that my favorite smell is sautéed garlic and onion in olive oil.

Food is such an important part of life and it is important to not only eat good food but to eat food that helps our bodies grow stronger with each bite. Every one is different, some people can eat dairy without any problem but cannot eat gluten. Others, such as myself, can eat as much gluten as they want but if they even have a smidgen of dairy they will be sick for days.

This blog was created with the intention of helping those who genuinely enjoy food find places to eat where they do not have to worry about getting sick afterwards.
